Traditional Thai Massage

Traditional Thai Massage (Nuad Bo-Rarn) has been taught and practiced in Thailand for 2500 years. Influenced by both Ayurvedic/Yogic Medicine and Buddhism, Thai Massage has a unique character that is at once relaxing and invigorating. The work blends gentle rocking, rhythmic acupressure and yoga-like stretching - deeply opening, relaxing, and revitalizing the entire body. It is unmatched in its ability to open joints and increase range of motion and flexibility.

Thai Massage is rapidly growing in popularity in the United States, and is now a regular offering at many spas and other healing centers.

The Thai Massage courses taught by Kondañña (Barry Kapke) are approved by the International Thai Therapists Association (ITTA). Because the course is taught by an ITTA/AOBTA-Certified Instructor, it is accepted by both associations towards meeting membership requirements. Students successfully completing the Thai Massage course are eligible for free student membership in ITTA for their first year.

These popular courses do fill up quickly so it is recommended to register well in advance. If the course is full, you may ask to be placed on a waiting list in case there should be a cancellation. Sign up for maillist announcements of upcoming classes and workshops.
